Spa Novy Smokovec

The Nový Smokovec Climatic Health Resort ranges among those climatic health resorts that hove the oldest tradition in Central Europe. It is located in the Alpine milieu of the Slovak High Tatras. As a climatic health resort of a mountainous character Nový Smokovec occupies an ideal position on the forest-clad southern slope, at the foothills of Slavkovský štít (peak) at 1010 m above sea level. In the north it is protected by a mighty massif of the Tatra peaks, in the south it is wide open to the sub-Tatra region of the broad Poprad river valley. The health resort lies in the centre of the Tatra settlements in the midst of green coniferous forests.
